Clean drinking water is absolutely vital. Here at MittSverige Vatten, we make sure all the people living in the munici-
palities of Sundsvall, Timrå and Nordanstig will always have clean drinking water available to them, both now
and in the future. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. This
is an important job.

To our great delight, the Sundsvall region has some
of the very best water in Europe these days. The climate and nature here are about as good as they ever get, and we have a vast knowledge of water and water purification. We are also working constantly to develop our methods and plants. The fact that we have now collated the skills and technical resources of three unicipalities into a single company gives us an even better foundation for the work we will be doing in the future.

Technical facts
MittSverige Vatten produces 15.1 million cubic metres of water each year. This water is a natural groundwater, pumped up from the fine gravel ridges in the region. We have 22 water sources, 1430 km of pipelines for water,
93 booster stations and 35 reservoirs.

We purify 21 million cubic metres of waste water each year at our 46 purification plants. At the major wastewater treatment plants, water is purified by means of an advanced, three-stage process: Mechanical, Chemical
and Biological purification. We have 1010 km of outflow conduits, 360 km of surface water conduits and 170 sewer pump stations.
